Being a heavily Catholic country, Easter celebrations in Mexico are an amazing event to witness. Here’s some images from the Good Friday events in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

In 2006 I had the opportunity to take my husband’s mother, Bettye, on a trip to Ireland. She was nearly 80 years old at the time and had always wanted to go. We hired a driver and spent 10 days touring the Irish countryside. This was to be Bettye’s last trip – she passed away the following year. In honor of St. Patrick’s Day and in her memory, I created a slideshow containing images from that wonderful trip. Sláinte, Bettye!

One of my favorite series of images that I’ve worked on for over 5 years are those associated with rural life throughout the world. I created a slide show of digital infrared photographs from the series and it was chosen as a finalist at the Palm Springs Photography Festival a couple of years ago and was also selected to play at the very first Slideluck Potshow held in Austin, TX. Heres a snippet of images from that series. Below that you’ll find a link to the slide show.
Here’s the slide show I created:

I’ve spent time in Tuscany, Italy on 3 occasions. I stayed in or near Cortona during those trips with Keith and Tania at Casa Bel Posto. Here’s some Polaroids from my trip in 2009.
n honor of my Chinese friends here and my co-workers in Penang, I’m posting photographs from my conceptual series called “The Rabbit Chronicles“. These images were shot at the Salton Sea in California and in Blanco, Texas. These are fun, silly and happen to be in the collections of a handful of “rabid” fans of the series.
Happy Chinese New Year! And welcome to the Year of the Rabbit!
Riding El Chepe – Train Trip Through Northern Mexico
Posted on January 29, 2011In early 2010, I went on a fun train trip through the Copper Canyon of Northern Mexico along with my mother and my aunt. It was definitely an adventure for the three of us and we can now check it off of our “bucket lists”.
I created a video slide show will some of my favorite travel memories of that trip. Since I had to travel very light on the train, I didn’t pack my SLR, but instead went with my Sony fixed lens camera for my still images along with my little Flip Mino HD for the the video.

I’ve been shooting digital infrared images for close to 10 years now and this is the first year that I used a camera capable of shooting color infrared images. I had my Nikon D70 converted to shoot color infrared. My camera was converted by Jim Chen. His website contains information on the conversion process and a lot of great information about digital infrared photography in general.
Here are some of my favorite color digital infrared images photographed with my newly converted Nikon D70 camera in 2010.
The new home of our art gallery, Mineral de Pozos in central Mexico, is filled with textures and colors that makes it a joy to photograph. One of the best ways to capture these textures is through HDR photography. These series of images were shot in Pozos and processed using HDR Efex Pro from Nik software. Some of the images are 3 shots at exposures 1 stop apart and some of them are single exposures.
Palm Spring Photo Festival – one of my favorite photography events
Posted on December 6, 2010Imagine spring in the desert and immersing yourself in photography 4 days and 4 nights. I’ve attended this festival every year since it’s inception except for last year (due to another travel commitment). I took workshops from some master photographers including Stephen Wilkes, Jock Sturges and Steve McCurry. This year they will have a whopping 18 workshops to choose from! Imagine being inspired and guided by the likes of Graciela Iturbide, Keith Carter or Amy Arbus, just a sampling of the master instructors during the festival. The toughest part will be choosing among the sessions!
The photograph shown below was taken at the Salton Sea by Stephen Wilkes. I happened to be there attending his workshop when he took this shot with an amazing ring light!
